BNY Mellon Asset Servicing has triumphed as Custodian of the Year in the inaugural ICFA Global Awards 2008 - in a programme which also saw major wins for RBC Dexia Investor Services, Citi and Northern Trust.

The ICFA Global Awards were unveiled in a special Gala Dinner presentation in London on May 14, hosted by UK political and media personality Michael Portillo.

On a star studded night asset servicing providers were presented awards spread across 23 Global industry categories.

Over 300 people attended the event -  held in London at the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel - with many of the biggest and the best names in asset servicing present on the night.

Nominations for the Awards - which recognised achievements, excellence and commitment to the industry - were judged by a panel of industry experts which included:

Angela Knight, chief executive officer of the British Bankers Association, Dr Werner Frey, managing director of the European Securities Services Forum,  Jeremy Charles, chief operating officer of Thames River Capital,  Dean Lumer, partner of the consulting firm Morse, Terry McCaughey, independent adviser at Terry McCaughey Associates and ICFA editor Jason Conway.
