Augentius Fund Administration, the specialist fund administrator, has appointed Glyn Thomas as managing director of its Guernsey office.

The move is an internal promotion which sees Thomas move from his role heading the training and technical department. He joined the business, which focuses exclusively on the private equity and property fund sectors, seven years ago from PricewaterhouseCoopers as a senior accountant.

Since then he has been heavily involved in technology projects, including the development of an accounting and reporting platform. He became an executive member of Augentius after a management buyout in 2006. Throughout 2009 Thomas was working on the development of the US business and its team.
